California Government Code 12940, EC 220, 221.5 and 48985-Nondiscrimination:
District programs shall be free from discrimination based on gender, sex, age, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, ethnic group identification, marital or parental status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation or any actual or perceived characteristic that is contained in the definition of hate crime set forth in Penal Code section 422.55, or the perception of one or more such characteristics or lack of English skills.
